Too many athletes seem to fall apart when the script is changed: A pitcher begins to tank when they fall behind in the count, a runner slows when they don't hit their mark in the first interval, or the football player sulks when they drop a routing pass. Exposing athletes to uncertainty allows them to quickly adapt and implement strategies to better manage unforeseen scenarios.
